The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri, 9am until 5pm

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Addiction Nurse within the North West Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service.

Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery.

You will be

working as part of a large team caring for people with drug and alcohol problems sometimes with associated physical and mental health problems. You will assume a supervisory role with junior members of staff. expected to work closely with Children and Families and Justice Services amongst others.

You should be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills. A First Level Registered Mental Health Nurse or a First Level Registered Adult Nurse with significant post registration experience working as a Band 5 is required.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
