Great opportunity for a high calibre sales professional with experience selling investment research & analysis type solutions, who is looking for a more ‘unique’ proposition with proven sales potential and an untapped market to go after with this well positioned fintech start-up. 

Excelsior has been engaged exclusively to conduct a search for this innovative and well capitalised investment research fintech. Their solution is a disruptive Artificial Intelligence (AI) investment research distribution, analysis and alpha generation platform which has proven itself with a hedge fund for several years, so they have spun it out to take to market. With a new market model and benefits for Banks, Brokers, Institutional Asset Managers and Wealth Managers they are set to disrupt the investment research market.

As they go-to-market they require a sales professional to ‘own’ the wealth management sector, ensuring their platform becomes an industry standard for use in investment research – on every portfolio manager and analysts desk. As the first sales professional for the wealth market segment you’ll have entrepreneurial freedom for devising and executing an effective sales strategy to ensure success. Appropriate candidates will be able to show:

– Experience selling to the buy side – either wealth managers, IFA groups, institutional asset managers or hedge funds etc.

– Experience selling investment / equity research and/or analysis technologies to portfolio managers and analysts would also be preferred. However, if you’ve sold other investment technology or data solutions to and have an extensive network of wealth management sector contacts, that too would be fine.

– A proven track record of hitting / exceeding sales targets, in particular for new client acquisition sales.

– The ability to pick up solutions which are new and unique in the market, and able to develop and execute a go-to-market sales proposition.

– Interest in working for a high growth entrepreneurial enterprise.

– An articulate, consultative and confident sales approach conducive for selling to portfolio managers, heads of research, portfolio analysts and research analysts etc.

– Have the personal motivation and ability to contribute to a dynamic and entrepreneurial team culture.
