Working as a Insights Sales Associate which is a key role in the Fresh Insights team you will report into the Senior Commercial Lead MFP & Produce.

This is a hands on role working with a broad range of clients in the produce category across branded and own label from billion pound businesses to start ups. Youll be expected to forensically understand their business the categories they operate in and their relationship with Tesco. Youll use this information to build robust and value add propositions to monetise our data and insight.

Working with you customer success colleagues youll network deep within your clients business Understanding and building relationships with stakeholders and budget holders across disciplines

Detailed knowledge of our tools and the value they can add will be critical as you consultatively sell to clients that we have a strong existing business with & those new to Tesco & data insights.

You will also support the Senior Commercial Lead with forecasting new business leads & proposal writing.

The ideal candidate will have either account management / category experience gained in a Tesco facing role a track record of success in the insight sales space or can demonstrate clear progression in a relevant sales role. Experience in the fresh category would be an advantage.

The successful applicant would be expected to demonstrate:

  • Experience of using data to influence or a track record of consistently hitting sales KPIs
  • An understanding of the UK retail market and the current challenges / opportunities.
  • Resilient with a positive mindset driven to find a new path when the first is blocked.
  • A relationship builder comfortable adapting style to varied internal and external contacts influencing based on their needs.
  • Highly organised displaying strong numeracy a structured approach to account planning.
  • A strong communicator verbally and digitally creating simple & actionable solutions.
