Our client, a $20m + PNL Portfolio Manager at a Multi - Strat fund, has headcount to add aSystematic Macro Researcherto his team.

The ideal candidate has experience across the whole future/FX liquid portfolio, for frequencies going from one hour to a few days. The candidate must have a strong interest in collaborative research, ideally at a point of his/her career where he/she wants to move to a research leadership role or to a sub-PM/PM track, that the PM can support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop quantitative models to analyze macroeconomic indicators, interest rates, currencies, and asset classes.
• Collect, clean, and manage large datasets from diverse sources to ensure data quality for research and modelling.
• Conduct research on global macroeconomic trends and generate signals for systematic trading strategies.
• Perform backtesting and simulations to evaluate strategy performance and risk.
• Collaborate with the PM to turn research into actionable investment strategies and refine models.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in quantitative research or analysis in systematic macro or related fields.
• Proficient in Python or C++, with strong skills in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
• Strong understanding of macroeconomics, global markets, and financial instruments (interest rates, currencies, commodities).
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate data into insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
