Responsibilities: ● You will be part of a multimediaoriented, system architecture team, giving you the opportunity todevelop and make a relevant contribution into Arm computesubsystems. ● The role will give you also outstanding opportunityto interact with world class specialists and architects, bothinside and outside Arm. ● The role offers analysing sophisticatedcomputer vision, multimedia and graphics use cases, and data pathsin the compute subsystem, and translating their compute, memorybandwidth and power requirements into heterogeneous systemarchitecture concepts. ● This System Architect role asks for deepunderstanding of both hardware architectures of multimedia, visionand AI accelerators (DPU, VPU, GPU), as well as their driver stacksand control software in the context of Android OS. ● You willcontribute to Arm Compute Subsystem architecture definition work bywriting system architecture specifications, as well as by bringingarchitecture concepts for novel technologies, evaluated with theuse of system performance models. Required Skills and Experience: ●Expertise in media subsystem architecture (both hardware andalgorithms), understanding real use case data-flows in modernheterogeneous compute platforms, with complex interconnect andmemory systems. ● Experience in analysis of power and performanceof media and vision use cases, also with inclusion of AI compute,their data paths for Client devices, as well as control software,drivers and APIs. ● In depth understanding of various system designtrade-offs: hardware vs. software partitioning, power, performance,memory bandwidth, latency, quality-of-service, real-time vs.non-real-time traffic. ● Understanding of the Android softwarestacks and APIs associated with the Multimedia and Graphicsprocessor hardware. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to differentOperating Systems, when required. ● Excellent interpersonal skillsand ability to collaborate with multiple teams under ambitiousschedules, with a focus on delivery of results. Nice to Have Skillsand Experience: ● Expertise in the field of Computer Vision,Machine Learning, AI, as well as imagevideo signal processing. ●Knowledge of Arm architecture, AMBA protocol, MMU concepts. ●Knowledge of video compression algorithms and hardware videoaccelerators.
