Working Pattern:Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, hours per week.

What this role is all about:

This is a multi-faceted role in VitalityLife with a focus on enhancing how we deliver our pricing and new business value strategy. It involves building predictive models as part of the existing pricing process and developing new data science methods to improve it. The candidate will be capable of delivering on a wide range of tasks including analytical, research, and conceptual thinking. You can work at pace to produce quality proposal presentations and connect complex ideas in simple language.

Key Actions:

  1. Deliver on the pricing control cycle. You will identify openings for improvement in pricing position, develop new strategies, implement these in our pricing system and monitor the results.
  2. Enhance and build various models for pricing and help implement these models into production systems.
  3. Assist with analytical process enhancements in the wider Pricing team.
  4. You will work with stakeholders within and outside the Pricing team to understand their core needs and requirements to ensure delivery of high impact projects.
  5. Prepare and deliver clear and compelling reports on results for relevant committees.
  6. Support in maintaining and enhancing monitoring dashboards and other pricing monitoring reports.
  7. Share insightful modelling techniques and results with the wider Vitality analytics community.

Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:

  1. Undergraduate degree in a numerical subject.
  2. Experience making use of advanced investigative skills in Microsoft Excel, Python / R, and relational database languages such as SQL and T-SQL.
  3. Experience of translating complex business or real-world problems into analytical solutions and communicating on both requirements and results.
  4. Previous experience within an analyst role, especially within protection insurance analytics or pricing.
