Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Pre-Sales Consultant within the IP & Innovation team will be responsible for supporting our Business Units (BUs) to understand the business needs of clients & prospects and how our AI-enabled IP solutions can meet them. This will require a broad palate of experience and knowledge covering AI technologies (‘traditional’ and generative) as well as the software development process in addition to core tasks including the development of solutions that meet the client requirements. A key part of this process requires a deep knowledge of our IP solutions to give technical presentations / demos and capture requirements to turn into winning value propositions. This will form part of the CGI bid process as well as helping to develop Proof of Concepts and robust Pilots that can be deployed to demonstrate operational capability across a range of use cases.

Working closely with the UK&A Business Units, you will be central in helping our BUs (Business Units) to adopt new IP and to deploy at scale. This will require an end-to-end solution mindset where the IP exists as an integral part of the client’s workflow and business value chain.

AI is a central part of the IP&I team’s remit to introduce new technologies into our SBU. This role will help lead the charge to deliver innovative new solutions to our clients. The role is based in and around London with the ability to travel as necessary to client sites and conferences.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•Direct experience of working in a pre-sales role supporting sales / OPLs to win new business.
•Strong technical background in enterprise software solutions and IT environments across a range of applications and verticals
•Proven experience of creating winning value propositions / proposals generating $1m+ revenues
•Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and BU members. Ability to discover and capture business, operational and technical requirements and demonstrate innovative, ‘big picture’ thinking that accommodates end-to-end operational considerations that can be validated through PoCs / Pilots
•Experience of a broad range of technologies including the latest developments in generative AI as well as traditional AI methods (eg, Machine Learning, etc)
•Excellent standard of written skills for documentation including capturing requirements, specifications / stories, user guides etc.

The person we are looking for will exhibit the following qualities:
•Results-oriented with ability to manage time and stakeholders to deliver outputs when expected.
•A self-starter who is able to crack on with a task without continuous direction and feels confident to share their ideas for improving how we do things
•Client-driven with an analytical mind that can dig into the detail of requirements to surface valuable insights and ideas
•Naturally collaborative who enjoys working with people but also to focus on complex development challenges
•Ability to work under pressure when necessary to provide outputs that achieve agreed quality standards when required
•Well-organised with the ability to marshal the resources required to achieve a project or task
