About YouTo be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:Essential Criteria1. PhD awarded in Data Science, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, or a related field, or near completion*.2. Some background in statistical modelling, with experience applying these techniques to healthcare data.3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with experience in data analysis libraries and tools.4. Demonstrated experience in working with large or complex data.5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex research problems.6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.*Please note that this is a PhD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant. Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6.Desirable Criteria1. Experience with machine learning/inference techniques and their application in healthcare.2. Familiarity with advanced data analysis techniques and relevant healthcare data regulations.3. Track record of publications in reputable journals or conferences in the field of health informatics or clinical pathway modelling.4.
