This is a fulltime post of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 over 7.

This is a fixed-term post until the end of March 2025.

It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in either Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy while being registered with HCPC.

Within South Sector the AHP teams work together supporting each other to ensure we produce high quality care for our patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join the Acute team on a full time temporary basis, to support additional beds over winter. You should have significant post graduate experience with relevant previous clinical experience.
This post involves a complex and varied caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning.
You will be clinically responsible for rotational staff and support worker staff, managing staff on a daily basis.
This post may require the post holder to participate in seven day working/extended hours working.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
