Role Summary

About the Role

As a Motion Designer in ourCreative team, you will be at the forefront of delivering diverse and intricatemotion designprojects for both our clients in the healthcare sector and the company. You will be involved in every stage of the project lifecycle, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. This involves early-stage collaboration with other designers, project managers, and clients to define the project scope and objectives. You will then produce high-quality motion design materials, providing technical insight and offering guidance as needed.

We are also committed to supporting projects where we believe our skills can make a meaningful difference to healthcare. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating Diverse Motion Content: Developing a wide range of motion content, including complex animations, detailed “explainer” videos, as well as interactive visuals for both internal teams and external clients
  • Video and Audio Editing: Supporting project teams with post-production video and audio editing for live and virtual events
  • Collaboration: Working closely with creative colleagues and project managers at the outset of projects to determine the design scope, purpose, and strategic approach to be taken
  • Effective Communication: Clearly communicating project requirements to project teams and providing input on any technical queries
  • Quality and Delivery: Ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality
  • Exceptional Service: Providing outstanding customer service, building strong partnerships with internal teams and external clients

Requirements

About You

We are seeking a motivated individual who can contribute innovative ideas to enhance ourmotion designservice offerings. You will have a great understanding of aesthetics and a meticulous attention to detail. You will also take pride in delivering a consistently exceptional service to both clients and colleagues within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

This role requires a problem-solving mindset, strong analytical skills, as well as an enthusiasm for learning new technologies to produce high-quality project deliverables. Exceptional organisation and self-motivation, along with the ability to proactively identify innovative solutions, are essential.

While no previous experience in the scientific industry is required, we are looking for someone with a genuine interest in applying their design skills to the healthcare sector.

Essential requirements for the role are:

  • A degree-level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of specialisms, including but not limited to; Motion Design, Animation, Visual Effects, Film, Media Production, Digital Design, Computer Science and Art
  • Extensive experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Proven experience creating animations and/or video editing for various digital channels
  • Familiarity with other programs in the Adobe Creative Cloud, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as other motion-related software
  • Some professional experience within an agency or commercial setting
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, a high level of productivity, and the flexibility to adapt to changing deadlines
  • An ability to manage conflicting demands, prioritising tasks effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build robust and sustainable working relationships

Desired requirements for the role are:

  • Knowledge of filming, along with pre-production and post-production processes
  • Experience creating 3D animations

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues who provide one-to-one training on the technical aspects of the role, as well as project management and effective client communication.

The Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process starts with a self-recorded video interview via our online application system. It is anticipated that you will also be asked to complete a creative assessment as part of the process. If successful, you will be invited to a final interview with senior members of our Creative team, which includes a portfolio review. Our standard recruitment process typically lasts around 2 to 3 weeks, however this can be adapted if necessary.
