An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Mental Health Inpatient site based at Stobhill Hospital. We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Charge Nurses to provide nursing leadership and specialist assessment, care and treatment interventions to our patient group. A number of posts are available, full time and/or part time. Within this role you will have an opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge and have access to training to support your ongoing professional development. The post holder will directly contribute to safe, efficient, effective and person centred care and treatment and contribute to the site page holder role. As the site page holder you will be required to work across the mental health inpatient wards to provide a level of nursing leadership and support the SCNs in ensuring safe staffing levels are achieved.
It is essential you are a NMC registered Mental Health Nurse. You should have knowledge and experience of working with patients with Mental Health conditions and be able to demonstrate your continuous professional development.
The range of wards across Mental Health Inpatients include Adult and Older Adult assessment and treatment wards, Mental Health Rehabilitation ward, Hospital Based Complex Care Wards, Specialist Dementia Ward.
The hours of this post are worked on a continental or 4/7 shift pattern including weekends, Public Holiday’s and night duty.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
