Our customer is a global biopharmaceuticalcompany, dedicated to bringing biosimilar medicines to market,ensuring high-quality biologics are available to more patients atcost effective prices. Since their launch in 2012 they havedeveloped the industry’s most rapidly advancing biosimilarmedicines portfolio and become leaders in this field. Working aspart of a wider team, but with sole responsibility for specialistcentres across UK, Netherlands and Ireland from a medical affairsstandpoint, key tasks will include: * Interactions with national,regional, and local customers (scientific discussions,presentations, data exchange and education) such as clinicians,clinical investigators, and additional external stakeholders. *Providing medical information and responses to complex medicalquestions from clinicians. * Internal scientific support, training,and provision of an expert resource for colleagues. * Coordinationof scientific education activities and participation in events suchas Advisory Boards and congresses. * Interactions with scientificsocieties and patient groups as appropriate. * Collecting andreporting relevant information to the company, such as competitorinformation, treatment patterns, product prescribing decisioncriteria, supply situation etc. Skills & experience required:Scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSc etc). * Musthave experienceof working as an MSL in the UK pharmaceutical industry. * Anexisting customer network in Nephrology is required; rare diseaseand biosimilars experience strongly preferred (but not essential).Understands how to link appropriate scientific support to delivervalue in a commercial organization. * Experience in understandingand interpreting clinical trial and statistical analysis with theability to deliver clear and compelling insight. * Inspirationalpresenter, conveying scientific material to large audiences in anengaging manner. * Strong leadership qualities, able to influenceinternal and external stakeholders. * Strong collaborator who canbuild networks across a complex business, with excellent teamworking skills, and resilient attitude. * Although this role coversseveral countries, the job holder must already be based in the UK(please note sponsorship will not be available). * Willing totravel regularly in the UK, Ireland and Netherlands as required. *Full driving license essential.
