Job summary
We are looking for a permanent part time MedicalReceptionist to join our team based at The Robert Darbishire Practice, thelargest and busiest of the three GP practices in the Better Health MCR PrimaryCare Network. The post is hours per week; Monday 08:00 16:30, Tuesday08:00 16:30 and Saturday 08:45 17:15.
The postholder will be required to work flexibly andto provide cover for absence and busy periods.As part of this, they may be required to work Saturdays. There may also be a requirement for thepostholder to work at our other practices from time to time.
Salarywill be within the range £24,168 £26,177 (pro rata for part time) dependingon experience. We offer - weeksholiday plus bank holidays (pro rata) and optional membership of the NHSPension Scheme
Main duties of the job
Our reception team are the first point of contact forour patients and play an important role in understanding patients needs,resolving queries, dealing with prescription requests and either booking anappointment with the most appropriate clinician at the practice or signpostingthe patient to a service outside the practice.
Youdont need to have worked in healthcare before as long as you have excellentpeople skills, a good attention to detail and you are willing and eager tolearn new skills. We will provide in-house training and support.

The post is part-time and will be mostly based at The Robert Darbishire Practice, although you will also need to be able to travel to our other sites as needed. The usual working hours are Monday 08:00-16:30, Tuesday 08:00-16:30 and Saturday 08:45-17:15.
Salary will be in the range £24,168 to £26,177 pro rata (full-time is hours), depending on experience. We offer membership of the NHS Pension Scheme and weeks' holiday (depending on NHS service) plus bank holidays (pro rata). (The post is not subject to Agenda for Change terms and conditions.)

Experience working with the public, preferably in a customer service role. Experience of completing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Experience using computers with a variety of different software packages, and good keyboard skills. Experience of dealing with challenging behaviours and emotional situations.Qualifications
