Machine Learning Research Engineer, System Infrastructure

IC Resources is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer with a focus on large-scale system infrastructure to join our client's research team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge projects at the intersection of systems engineering and machine learning, contributing to the future of data center infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
Research and prototype development focusing on the integration of machine learning within system infrastructures.
Contribute to system design, analysis, and development of solutions, with a strong focus on machine learning applications.
Design and implement key technologies and algorithms related to time series analysis, optimization, and machine learning systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and enhance system performance in data center and cloud applications.
Engage with academic and industry leaders, and contribute to open-source projects to help shape the technological landscape.
Essential Experience:
PhD in operating systems, distributed systems, machine learning, or a related discipline.
Top publications focused on systems (NSDI, EuroSys, SoCC, OSDI etc.) and ML (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
Strong knowledge of system design and implementation for machine learning workloads.
Expertise in operating systems, distributed systems, cloud computing, and machine learning algorithms.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Go, or Python.
Desired Experience:
Familiarity with systems for machine learning, time series analysis, and optimization.
Experience developing and maintaining large-scale cloud production systems.
