Machine Learning Engineer – Manchester or Remote – £80-100k

Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with an Artificial Intelligence startup providing bespoke AI solutions for their vast range of clients and partners across the public and private sectors, developing and maintaining technology solutions for a mix of small and large publicly listed companies across multiple sectors including financial services, construction, manufacturing, e-commerce and more. They are now seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join their ever-growing team.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for building and optimising Large Language Model (LLM) inferences as well as creating event-driven and request-response systems to run RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) answer generation pipelines. You will also deliver sophisticated AI-driven solutions that are matching of client expectations and advance the company's capabilities in LLM inferences.

Key skills required for this role:

• 7+ years’ experience using Python
  
  
• Solid experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  
  
• Proficiency in AWS for cloud-based AI deployments
  
  
• Experience with MLOps frameworks such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Spark, etc
  
  
• PhD in any STEM subject would be advantageous
