Machine Learning Engineer | Innovative Health Tech Startup | 6-Month Contract Role

We are excited to partner with a dynamic and forward-thinking Health-Tech startup seeking an experienced and results-driven Machine Learning Engineer for a 6-month contract. The Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying ML models that power their core products and services. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will deliver scalable solutions while ensuring best practices in model performance, reliability, and ethical AI implementation.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a proven track record in deploying machine learning models in production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems.
• Optimize existing ML pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of models into production systems.
• Conduct research and experimentation with new ML methodologies and frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and ethical AI standards.
• Monitor model performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
• Share expertise and mentor junior team members.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) for ML deployment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Knowledge of deep learning techniques and NLP.
• Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools like MLflow or Kubeflow.
• Background in deploying ML solutions within SaaS platforms.

Contract Details

• Day Rate:£300-£500 per day (outside IR35)
• Location:Shoreditch, London (Hybrid/Remote)
• Duration:6 months with the possibility of extension
