AI Engineer/Machine Learning Engineer - Remote | UK

📍Remote-first (Occassional travel to the US) | 💰£60,000–£65,000 + Equity 🧠 AI for Good | 🚀 Early-Stage Start-Up | 🥗 Health & Wellness Sector

Are you an applied machine learning engineer with a passion for real-world impact? We're partnering with a stealth-mode healthtech start-up that’s redefining personalisation in the wellness space.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Owning and evolve the personalisation engine - tailored recommendations, user preferences, and adaptive experiences.
  • Working with a mix of in-house data, literature-based insights, and small-scale RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) models.
  • Building agentic tools to streamline onboarding and user journeys.
  • Contributing to backend design and infrastructure where needed - real bonus points if you’re from an engineering background.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 3-4 years’ of experience in AI/ML with a practical focus on shipping features.
  • Familiarity with personalisation algorithms, recommendation systems, or LLMs.
  • Comfortable building scrappy, elegant solutions - not over-engineering for engineering's sake.
  • Hungry to grow into technical leadership and thrive in a low-ego, mission-led environment.
  • Bonus points if you've gone above and beyond: participated in hackathons, built side projects, or solved real problems outside of your day job.

Why Apply:

  • Be part of a small, ambitious team shaping the early stages of something meaningful.
  • Transparent equity offering.
  • Remote-first setup with opportunities for international exposure and travel opportunities
  • Unlimited holiday policy and flexible working culture.

Where to Advertise AI Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise AI jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach AI engineers, ML scientists and applied research talent in the UK. The candidate pool is small, highly informed and in demand across multiple sectors simultaneously. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that AI professionals expect — and the filtering mechanisms they rely on. Specialist platforms, direct outreach and academic channels each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise AI roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about time-to-hire across different role types.
