NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. This is a fixed-term post for 6 months.
Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in General Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at Glasgow Royal Infirmary for 6 months starting 5th February 2025 for 6 months.
This post will offer excellent training opportunities within the Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Clinical Pharmacology which has an excellent reputation for post graduate training whilst gaining invaluable experience in general medicine through participation on the medical registrar on call rota.
All major specialties are represented within Glasgow Royal Infirmary currently there are more than 50 Consultant Physicians with special interests in Acute Medicine, Cardiology, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology and Elderly Care.
This post is being advertised as having the potential to be a Locum Appointment for Training as it is filling a short term vacancy in the Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics training program pending 1 new ST4 level posts being available in August 2025 which will be advertised and appointed through national recruitment. For suitable candidates who want this to count towards training educational approval will be sought from the Postgraduate Dean.
To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both GMC registration and a licence to practice.
