About us:
In a world where artificial intelligence opens up new horizons, our faith in its potential unveils a new outlook where, together, humans and machines build a new future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and incredible discoveries.
The development of a functional humanoid robot underpins an era of abundance and well-being where poverty will disappear, and people will be able to choose what they want to do.
We can imagine millions of bipedal robots doing more work than all human labour does today freeing people from the servitude of some repetitive and boring tasks that nobody likes to perform.
We believe that we have enough abundance to take care of everyone who is displaced. Eventually, providing a universal basic income will lead to the true evolution of our civilization.
Labor shortages loom, as the demands on our built environment rise. With the world’s workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed.
By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.
As theLead HMI Designer, you will be at the forefront of creating cutting-edge experiences that push the boundaries of robotics, ensuring that our technology empowers users and enhances their daily lives. Your work will shape the future of how humans and robots interact, making complex technologies feel natural and effortless
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of the HMI for humanoid robots, ensuring a user-friendly and engaging experience.
- Manage and maintain the User Experience across digital platforms and digital touch points related to our robots.
- Play an active role within Humanoid’s design team, contributing and being involved in overall strategy, research and product development.
- Look after the complete robot state management using state machines or other relevant frameworks including safety, function & interaction management.
- Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups for the robot’s interface, mobile apps, web platforms and remote devices / applications.
- Liase and input into any motion design needed as part of the HMI design process.
- Test and refine designs through iterative prototyping, including the development of physical prototypes to validate concepts.
- Ensure consistency of design across all platforms, ensuring a unified experience from the robot interface to external applications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including industrial designers, robotics engineers, software developers, brand designers and product managers to align design goals with technical requirements and brand aspirations.
- Conduct usability testing, gather user feedback, and iterate on designs based on both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Work with engineers to deploy, test and bug fix design work into working robotic prototypes.
- Develop a unique visual identity for our digital experiences that strengthens and helps flesh our Humanoid’s brand identity.
