Tocontinue in our growth, we are recruiting a Lead Engineer based outof our London Office. What you’ll be doing: As a Lead Engineer, youwill play a crucial role in leading our core tech team. In theshort term this will involve driving the re-platforming efforts ofour core data & AI platform powering our SaaS product. Beyondthat, you'll spearhead backend & data engineering, mentor teammembers, and optimize software engineer practices for long-termsuccess. Our Tech stack: AWS and Azure, including Athena, Synapse,Spark, Kubernetes. Temporal, Python, Redis, Postgres, React andDocker. Key Responsibilities: - We’d expect this role to be splitbetween 60% on the Tech side with the remaining 40% devoted tomanagerial responsibilities. - Mid-low level tech design: Mid andlow-level design of our technical stack in coordination withbroader architecture. - Tech leadership: Shape and promote thesoftware engineering culture and practices by applyingstate-of-the-art best practices that help foster a collaborativeenvironment and ensure continuous learning and developmentopportunities for the team. - Line manage the software engineeringteam, including recruitment and retention strategies. Remainhands-on by actively participating in code reviews and othertechnical processes to stay informed on lower-level work. RequiredSkills and Attributes: - 7 years or more of coding experience, withat least 3 years primarily focused on Python. - Knowledge of MLOpsprinciples and practices, especially in implementing them withinproduction settings. - Worked on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure,GCP) - Worked on data-intensive products which are heavy on eithervolume (big data) or scale (high load) - We're particularly excitedabout candidates who bring start up experience to the table, as italigns closely with our dynamic, innovative culture. Nice to haves:- 2 or more years of experience managing a tech team previously -Experience working on AI-based products. - Distributed computingexperience (Spark, MPI, etc) - Experience with full stack -Experience orchestrating workflows, particularly within distributedsystem environments.
