Lead Data Scientist

Propellerfish is investing in the next phase of its AI-powered platform to transform how we collect and analyze unstructured qualitative data—like interviews, videos, and observations—from people around the world. We’re looking for a seasoned Data Scientistto help us shape shape the future of this system and ultimately how we work in the future.

You’ll work across a unique team of engineers, behavioral scientists, UX designers, and strategy consultants. Your focus: turning messy human data into actionable insight using tools likeLLMs,multimodal models, andRAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build pipelines that handle unstructured text, image, and audio data
• Integrate and fine-tune LLMs and other models into our tools
• Develop AI workflows that help consultants make better, faster decisions
• Collaborate on client-facing innovation projects (tech, pharma, food & more)

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

• Has strong experience with unstructured data, LLMs, and RAG
• Is fluent in Python and modern ML/AI tooling (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face, vector DBs)
• Thrives in cross-functional teams and startup-like ambiguity
• Has a Ph.D. (or Master’s) in a relevant field
• Loves people—as data, as collaborators, and as the point of it all
