Finatal is currently working with a SaaS B2B fin-tech business that has recently had a strong investment and is now on a rapid growth trajectory. With Data & Analytics being a key value creation strategy, they are now looking for a Lead Data Scientist to drive revenue optimisation through enhancing pricing initiatives and team efficiencies. You will steer the data science strategy including uses of AI within the industry working alongside the Head of Data and c-suite executives.

Role:

• As a key point of contact in the data team you will work cross-functionally with the business units to provide solutions to complex business challenges using data science and drive commercial impact.
• Use ML techniques to identify trends in pricing and sales data to develop predictive models to inform future pricing strategies.
• Evolving the commercial understanding of price elasticity and demand-led pricing.
• Develop, implement, and maintain scalable data science models and pipelines that are future-proof and adaptable to evolving business needs.
• Continuously refine and enhance machine learning solutions post-deployment to maximize their efficiency and ensure they deliver measurable business impact.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in senior or lead data science roles with exposure/ work around pricing optimisation including demand-led pricing.
• Technical expertise in Python, FastAPI (or similar), snowflake and tableau.
• Solid foundation in machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, including gradient boosting machines (GBMs), generalized linear models (GLMs), probability calibration, clustering, linear optimization, and neural networks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, working with C-level executives as well as helping mentor juniors and non-technical people.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
