Summary of the Role
We’re looking for a Lead Data Scientist who can help lead and develop our analytics and enrichment capabilities across Precise TV to drive data-led decision making and build industry leading data products.
The successful applicant would be joining a passionate data team who care about making a difference and work together to achieve their goals. They will be part of a data science and engineering team that uses industry leading technology to transform the business and make a difference.
The role is a hybrid role, based in our London office 3 days a week (Fitzrovia area) with 2 days working remotely from home. The standard hours are 9-17:30, for a total of 37.5 hours per week, but flexible working is accepted.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead our Data Science team (2 data scientists and 1 business & data analyst)
- Build new solutions from prototypes to production feature to solve business problems using machine learning and statistical analysis
- Maintain and build upon our existing ML models and solutions
- Influence the direction of the company’s product & data strategy
- Synthesise analytics and statistical approaches into easy-to-consume storylines, both visually and verbally, and clearly communicate with both non-data science audiences (such as creatives) and data scientists
- Work closely with the wider data science and engineering team as well as supporting and presenting to multiple stakeholders
Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience (e.g. data scientist, ML engineer, AI engineer, etc.)
- A degree in Mathematics, Machine Learning, Engineering, Physics or other relevant field (quantitative science based fields preferred)
- Industry experience building or utilising end-to-end Machine Learning infrastructure and/or building and productionising Machine Learning models. (primarily NLP applications)
- Experience with cloud platforms (ideally AWS)
- Experience with command line environment, git, containerisation e.g. Docker
- Experience working on large unstructured data such as text, images or audio with a track record of delivering state of the art data science solutions.
- Strong experience with Python, and experienced with SQL, and NoSQL
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and process
- Knowledge of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, machine learning, optimisation and analytics
- Experience leading on projects and delegating tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proven ability in building relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across large organizations
Preferred:
- Hands on experience with LLMs, LangChain, prompt engineering, RAG etc.
- Experience within the advertising industry
- Experience with tableau, powerBI, or other data visualisation software

- Competitive salary of £75,000 - £100,000 per year (dependent on experience / skill set) plus performance based bonus potential
