WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a temporary Knowledge Expert (KE), within BCG's Global Advantage Practice Area, you will deliver against the client and commercial priorities for the Partnerships & Global Models business. You will work with the extended team of Sector/Topic experts as well as 1 other PGM KT to support case work, content development and business build initiatives. You will drive the IP/content agenda together with GA and PGM leadership and lead execution of internal projects.

The Global Advantage practice's objective is to help clients achieve global competitive advantage by leveraging opportunities and threats arising in and from Emerging Markets (EMs). We support "incumbents" from developed economies and "challengers" from EMs. We have been working with and through our industry and functional practices and client teams to develop a suite of capabilities to support clients at different stages of their globalization development.

Most industries have been or are currently disrupted by a shift to digital ecosystems, leading to the entry of new players and a radically different type of competition. Concurrently, companies seek to make their businesses more resilient by collaborations that offer access to new customers, partners, geographies, capabilities and assets. In addition, with a world in constant change companies need to organize for competitive innovation at a local level while also leveraging global scale. BCG's Partnerships and Global Models (PGM) team helps companies build and run impactful internal and external collaboration networks. The JV & Alliances offer helps companies get more value from Joint Ventures and non-equity partnerships by helping them understand and avoid common pitfalls. The Digital Ecosystems offer helps clients with strategy, setting-up, and scaling platform-based business models bringing together BCG’s capabilities from strategy, Digital Venture’s business building to data science and technology expertise. Finally, the Global Operating Models offer helps multinational corporations organizing to win in a quickly fragmenting world.


YOU'RE GOOD AT
Leading problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context

Leading development and commercialization of knowledge and assets e.g. tools, sector/topic materials, in area of expertise

Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility

Leading projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing team to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact

Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectively

Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • PL1+ equivalent BCG consulting experience, C2 with strong performance also considered
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
  • Fluency in English
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment
  • Positive, constructive team-player mentality
  • Affinity to technology strategy and collaboration models between tech and other industries a plus 
  • Experience in client/case work related to joint ventures and partnerships


As a Knowledge Expert, Team Manager, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Our team is made up of a diverse pool of knowledge positions that allow us to pursue exciting, innovative knowledge careers.
This is a temporary maternity leave coverage, December 9, 2024- March 9, 2026. However, there is flexibility in regard to start date and end date, pending discussions. London and Germany are first preferences for role location but for internals flexible in NAMR and EMESA locations.
