Knowledge Systems Adviser - Law - London

A global law firm has a requirement for a Knowledge Systems Adviser to join their KM team and assume a role in which the successful candidate will be acting as a conduit between lawyers, stakeholders and technology functions as a part of the firms  continuous improvement programme aligned to Knowledge Sharing. The role has responsibility for system enhancements, data integrity, user training and the support of roll-outs. This is a role that would be extremely well suited to someone that enjoys the challenge of learning and understanding a variety of systems and operating in a Systems Analyst or Product Owner capacity. 

The primary objectives and responsibilities in the role include, but are not limited to:

Acting as subject matter expert in BAU and project team meetings related to development of Knowledge Systems

Developing an in-depth understanding of a variety of systems relating to Knowledge Management in the firm

Ensure that data in Knowledge Systems is fit for purpose and classified appropriately

Acting as a conduit between multiple stakeholders to communicate strategy, timelines, objectives and to define and relay user requirements

Work with Knowledge Lawyers and technical teams to develop artificial intelligence-based processes for the identification, classification, and extraction of data from the firm’s collection of legal documents

The creation, dissemination, and maintenance of user guides and training materials related to any Knowledge System

Generation and analysis of reports and systems metrics, utilising tools such as Tableau or SQL queries.

Coordinating User Acceptance Testing

Delivery of training and relevant communications across the firm

To be suitable for this role, candidates will need to have a strong mix of the following experience and skills:

Experience in a similar Systems Analyst, technical project or product ownership role, ideally gained within a complex legal or professional services environment

Considerable experience working within a technology project team with a clearly defined systems development roadmap

An expert in the management of multiple stakeholders, departments and technology partners

An ability to work in a data focused role including skills such as data structures, taxonomies or data integrity

Experience working on concurrent and often conflicting projects and priorities

Any experience of data visualisation, database programming such as Tableau or SQL would be extremely desirable

A related degree would be advantageous but is not an essential requirement
