They are currently seeking a Junior Environmental Data Analyst to join their team and contribute to exciting projects focused on carbon offsetting and environmental data analysis.
Position Overview:
As the Junior Environmental Data Analyst, you will play a key role in transforming environmental data into actionable insights. You will support major projects, including carbon offset initiatives, climate risk analysis, and geospatial data management. Working alongside a team of experienced professionals, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a meaningful way, contributing to solutions for some of today’s most pressing environmental issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret environmental and geospatial datasets using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Python.
- Assist in developing models and visualisations for environmental projects, including carbon offsetting, climate resilience, and sustainability reporting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental impact assessments, climate risk evaluations, and natural resource management studies.
- Support data collection, cleaning, and validation processes to ensure high-quality datasets.
- Prepare clear, engaging reports, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay informed on the latest trends in environmental data science, geospatial analysis, and sustainability.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Data Science, or a related field from a Russell Group university.
- Experience using geospatial analysis tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong understanding of environmental and climate-related data, with the ability to interpret large datasets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail.
- A passion for environmental sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact.
Salary and Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 - £40,000.
