Deputy Head of Trade Compliance - Defence
Location: Woking or Gloucester (2 days a week on-site)
Salary: £70,000 plus benefits

My client, an established Technology Company, is currently looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join them

Founded over 70 years ago, theyre a British centre of excellence for world-class innovation and engineering. Theyre expertise in Defence but as the decades of innovation have rolled on they expanded into the National Security and Public Sector.

Their innovations can be found all over the world. From computer vision that powered the worlds first autonomous landing of a drone at sea; to AI systems that drastically reduce aircraft turnaround times. They deliver advanced research, development services and products to high profile customers with varied and challenging problems to solve

As the Deputy Head of Trade Compliance, you will be assisting and supporting the Head of Trade Compliance in leading the trade compliance function within the business. You will oversee the department, guiding and leading the team as well as liaising with business management and project teams to ensure that relevant directives and related policies and processes are followed.

They are looking for you to have in-depth knowledge of UK and US Export Control legislation, including ITAR and EAR, UK Customs procedures and be experienced in managing both internal and external audits.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Experience in leading a Trade Compliance function at Senior level
• Experience in UK and US ITAR/EAR export controls are essential.
• Defence Sector experience
