Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Industry Lead to spearhead our engagement with UK government clients, providing strategic advice and support in the area of digital transformation and IT delivery. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience either from within a senior digital role in the UK government or from a private sector technology services provider working with government clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the UK government's digital transformation landscape, combined with the ability to operate as a thought leader and advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a trusted advisor to UK government clients on digital transformation, IT strategy, and delivery.

Provide 1-2-1 consultations, helping clients navigate complex digital challenges and implement innovative solutions.

Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with senior government officials and key stakeholders.

Lead the company's thought leadership in UK government digital transformation by producing high-quality content such as blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies.

Represent the company at public speaking engagements, conferences, and workshops, sharing insights and trends in digital transformation and IT delivery.

Engage with industry bodies, think tanks, and other forums to influence and shape the future of digital services in the UK government.

Leverage an extensive personal network of senior officials within UK government departments, agencies, and other public sector bodies.

Build and sustain long-term partnerships with key decision-makers and influencers in the government sector.

Collaborate closely with internal teams to align the company's services with client needs and government policies.

Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new opportunities within the UK government sector.

Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies and campaigns that resonate with government clients.

Provide insights and guidance on market trends, client demands, and competitor activities to inform business strategy.

Qualifications

Experience in a senior digital role within the UK government or in a similar position with a private sector technology services provider.

Proven track record in advising on and delivering digital transformation projects in the public sector.

Demonstrated experience in thought leadership, including public speaking, content creation, and participation in industry forums.

Deep understanding of UK government structures, policies, and the digital transformation agenda.

Excellent knowledge of IT delivery processes, methodologies, and best practices in the public sector.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at the highest levels of government.

Strategic thinking with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions.

An established and extensive network of senior contacts within the UK government’s IT and digital services community.

Ability to leverage relationships to drive business growth and influence digital transformation agendas.

Passionate about public service and the role of technology in enhancing government operations and citizen services.
