The Opportunity

With continued investment into our Cement Manufacturing Plant in Cauldon, Staffordshire we are now recruiting for an Industrial Automation Engineer to lead on reliability through Artificial Intelligence and condition monitoring. You’ll play a key part in the predictive maintenance at our Cement Plant, working alongside the Maintenance & Preventive Maintenance teams to drive digital solutions into keeping our site operational.

Reporting into the Senior Systems Engineer you’ll optimise the sites Distributed Control Systems and make recommendations for the latest technical innovations which can improve reliability and efficiency of the cement manufacturing process. 

You’ll follow the data from reports and sensors to help predict breakdowns and make recommendations to replace before failure of equipment. 

We’re investing in our site to implement the newest technology, so this is a real opportunity to make recommendations and have your ideas in process for the next period of greener cement manufacturing. 

Who you are

You’ll have an understanding of PLC systems looking to upskill into the heavy industry with ABB - DCS. 

You’ll have a keen interest in the future and Artificial Intelligence, being able to make recommendations of how this can be better utilised in the manufacturing sector.

You’ll ideally hold an Engineering degree, or be keen to further develop your qualifications and skills.
