This is a permanent, part-time post of 22.2 hours per week, with a negotiable shift pattern.
It is essential that you have a degree or diploma in Physiotherapy and have current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
This post will be based at the new Parkhead Hub for two days per week with the GGC PMP, it is essential that one of those working days is a Thursday. A day based in secondary care can be negotiable for both working day and base. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde serves a population of approximately 1.4 million people. As a result it provides the largest AHP Chronic Pain team in Scotland who work to support individuals to live well with chronic pain. An opportunity has arisen to join this supportive and progressive team on a part-time basis.The post holder will work across the GGC Pain Management Programme (PMP) and secondary care physiotherapy services. In addition, they will be involved with enhanced MDT vetting sessions, weekly MDT meetings, and supporting rotational staff and students. They will also have the opportunity to foster relationships across the Scottish AHP Pain Network and take part and lead on audit, research and quality improvement projects.The GGC PMP is a psychology led, group based intervention which supports and empowers individuals to develop strategies in order to live well with chronic pain.You will have post graduate experience in a relevant outpatient or long term condition based service. Ideally you will have experience of working with patients who suffer from chronic pain or other long term conditions and working within a multidisciplinary team. You will be motivated by psychologically informed, person centred care, service development and will be forward thinking in how pain physiotherapy services are delivered in the future.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
