Role overview TheSenior Data Scientist will lead in the identification and creationof cutting-edge data assets and predictive models that feed intoHastings’ market-leading pricing activities. This role is withinthe Claims and Fraud Data Science Team championing the adoption ofthe latest machine learning (ML) techniques to leverage powerfulinsights from vast amounts of customer information. Job details 1.Develop best in-class models to predict claims outcomes, fraud andother risk KPIs 2. Engineer powerful new rating factors to bedeployed into our rating algorithms 3. Identify, analyse andmonetise new data sources Essential skills/experience: 1. Strongtechnical modelling skills 2. Proven track record of deliveringcommercial value 3. Keen interest in emerging ML techniques and howthese can be used within Underwriting & Pricing 4. Proficiencyin R and/or Python 5. Strong senior stakeholder management andcommunication skills 6. Experience with using GitHub as a codecollaboration tool 7. Ability to work with different teams PersonalAttributes 1.
