As the Head of Software - Analytics you will be responsible for leading the technical vision and leading a team in the delivery of software solutions that provide data Analytics and Insights for MHR products and services (iTrent and People First). 

This role requires setting of the technical strategy, influencing the architecture, and shaping the teams to deliver the best systems for MHR's customers.  If you have experience in modern Data Engineering principles and Azure analytics tech services. Including Databricks and ML/AL technologies this role may be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Design, Managers, and key stakeholders to set the vision, technical strategy and define OKRs to measure success 

  • Work with Product Design and business stakeholders to ensure outcomes are effectively met by delivering software in a predictable manner taking account of commercial impact. 

  • Leadership and Mentoring of the Data and Analytics software team 

  • Develop and execute the team's roadmap for delivering new and improved data insights and analytics solutions 

  • Represent the team to senior management and other stakeholders. 

  • Identify future technology or skill needs for the team and plan how these can be introduced 

  • Identify and promote the use of right technology to deliver desired Outcomes. 

  • Establish and maintain standards and metrics in support of driving continuous improvement 

  • Work with other members of the management team to embed Agile practices and facilitate predictable, rapid delivery of business benefit 

  • Manage the implementation of appropriate process or technology improvements in support of the software delivery processes, including but not limited to source code management, CI/CD, product tracking, monitoring, security, and alerting 

  • Grow the team by hiring great technologists and developing the careers and development of the people 

About you:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading technical teams, encouraging growth, diversity, and empowerment.

  • People Development: Strong performance management skills with a history of developing talent.

  • Team Player: Excellent collaboration skills, open to feedback, and effective delegation.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Cloud (Azure), DevOps, and Databricks.

  • SaaS Products: Experience working on strategic SaaS products.

  • Agile: Deep understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, preferably Scrum.

  • Commercial Software Development: Experience in software development and delivery. 

  • Strategic Implementation: Deliver the technical strategy and set strategic direction.

  • Analytics: Strong experience in data science and analytics.
