About the Role:


As the Head of Sales, you'll be the driving force behind Aveni's revenue growth, leading and scaling our enterprise sales efforts. You'll develop and execute a sales strategy that targets enterprise clients across the financial services sector, mentoring and guiding a high-performing team. Your role will be critical in expanding Aveni's market presence, building strong client relationships, and ensuring that our sales operations are efficient and transparent.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy Development:Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy, tailored to the UK financial services market, in order to achieve revenue targets. Drive revenue growth by leading the team in prospecting, pitching and closing deals.

Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.

Performance culture:Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team to maximise their potential and exceed sales goals (alternative to above).

Market Expansion:Identify and pursue new market opportunities, expanding Aveni's presence in the financial services industry.

Pipeline Management:Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring consistent and effective lead generation, qualification, and closing processes.

Client Relationships:Build and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.

Sales Operations:Implement and optimise sales processes, tools, and metrics to drive efficiency and transparency across the organisation.

Collaboration:Work closely with the Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market positioning.

Revenue Forecasting:Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to strategic planning and budgeting.


What We're Looking For:


  • 10+ years in sales, with a focus on Fintech or SaaS, and 5+ years in enterprise sales leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale sales teams and drive significant revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry and complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing diverse teams.
  • Ability to think big-picture while executing on day-to-day tactical initiatives.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Familiarity with AI, SaaS, and the latest technological trends.
