Our mission is to revolutionise the field of genomics, driving innovation in healthcare, diagnostics, and personalised medicine. With a dynamic team of scientists, engineers, and industry experts, we are at the forefront of developing breakthrough solutions that will shape the future of biotech. We are seeking a strategic and visionary Head of Talent Acquisition to lead our efforts in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent as we continue to expand and innovate.

Position Overview:

The Head of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with their ambitious growth plans. This role will lead the recruitment efforts across all levels of the organisation, with a strong focus on attracting top-tier talent in the fields of genomics, bioinformatics, data science, and other key areas. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in recruiting for highly specialised roles, a strong network within the biotech industry, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams in fast-paced, innovative environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy that supports the company's growth objectives and strengthens its position as a leader in next-generation sequencing.
  • Partner with executive leadership to understand workforce needs and forecast future talent requirements in line with business goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment of talent acquisition efforts with the overall business strategy.
  1. Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing talent acquisition team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance objectives, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure team success.
  1. Talent Sourcing & Recruitment:
  • Oversee the full lifecycle recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Utilise a variety of sourcing methods, including networking, headhunting, partnerships with universities, and leveraging social media and industry events to attract top talent.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, maintaining the company's reputation as an employer of choice.
  1. Employer Branding:
  • Develop and execute employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's visibility and attractiveness to potential candidates.
  • Represent [Company Name] at industry conferences, career fairs, and networking events to promote the company’s mission, values, and career opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling recruitment materials and campaigns.
  1. Diversity & Inclusion:
  • Champion diversity and inclusion efforts in the recruitment process, ensuring a diverse pipeline of candidates for all roles.
  • Implement strategies to eliminate bias and promote equity throughout the hiring process.
  1. Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Leverage data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make informed decisions.
  • Track key performance metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction, and report on progress to executive leadership.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine the recruitment process to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  1. Compliance & Best Practices:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment and hiring.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to maintain a cutting-edge talent acquisition function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the biotech, life sciences, or technology sectors.
  • Proven experience in recruiting for highly specialised roles in genomics, bioinformatics, data science, and related fields.
  • Strong understanding of the biotech industry and next-generation sequencing technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing recruitment teams in fast-paced, innovative environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience in implementing D&I initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
