Head of Programs and Transformation (Mat Cover)

This is a 12 month maternity cover role and will require regular travel between our Lincolnshire site and Malmesbury, Wiltshire.

Requirements

  • Define and Deliver Digital Transformation Roadmap
  • Develop and execute the digital transformation strategy in alignment with organisational goals & in line with the scope and requirements as defined by the Digital Transformation Policy as signed off by the board
  • Lead and manage multiple digital projects and programmes from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for digital innovation and improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation of new digital tools, platforms, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, BU owners, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
  • Key leader of the R&D governance project workstream to ensure more discipline in design and creative process
  • Build strong relationships with Weybourne and ensure regular communication and updates on projects.
  • Develop cadence and approach for formalised touchpoints between DFL and key stakeholders
  • Provide regular reporting on progress to stakeholders and the Exec team (at least once a month as a minimum)
  • Define relationships/purpose/agenda and outputs for each stakeholder group to ensure effective and efficient delivery of key projects and deliverables
  • Business Unit Budget owner for areas of responsibility - Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, ensuring successful delivery within scope.
  • Development of business cases, considering opportunities, potential risks, identifying processes and resources required.
  • People development - Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project teams.
  • Be key point of contact for any external consultants used, to manage and structure consultant workloads and ensuring quality of deliverables.

Person Specification
Essential

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience in digital transformation, programme management, and leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, including cloud computing, data analytics, AI, and automation.
  • Experience with change management and organizational development.

Desirable but not essential

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a similar industry or sector.
  • Background in data science or data engineering.
