Salary:Up to£65,000(depending on experience)
Location:Stevenage / Bristol (Relocation packageavailable)
Dynamic (hybrid) working:3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

The Opportunity
We are seeking anexperienced Systems Engineerwith a strong background inteam leadershipanddelivery managementto lead a medium-sized team through the remainingdevelopmentandcertificationstages.
As theHead of Modelling & Performance, you will lead aseeker teamresponsible for developing algorithms and modelling frameworks that supportsoftware developmentandperformance predictionsfor integrated missile systems. Additionally, you’ll work onscene generationcapabilities, define studies to explore performance limits, and manage the fullalgorithm development life cycle, including auto-coding for software delivery.
You will also have the opportunity to:
- Support field trials.

- Collaborate with amulti-national, multi-disciplinary engineering teamacross two missile programmes.

Key Responsibilities
- Sharebest practicesacross the programme and department to ensureefficient, coherent model deliveriesinto high-profile missile programmes.
- Encourageinnovation, including enhancedagile methods,process improvements,auto-codingfirmware, and preparation formachine learning/AIintegration.
- Lead thetechnical developmentofseeker performanceon cutting-edge hardware, using your expertise to accelerate progress.
- Bridgetechnical gapsbetween specialist skill groups to delivercoherent and complete performance models.
- Managestakeholder relationships, deputising for senior leadership and representing the seeker team when needed.
- Demonstrate strongprogramme management skills, includingbudget management, risk mitigation, and identifying opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience insystems engineering, particularly inteam leadershipandtechnical delivery.
- Expertise inalgorithm development,modelling, andperformance predictionsfor complex systems.
- Strong knowledge ofagile methods,auto-coding, and modern software development approaches.
- Ability to work acrossmulti-disciplinary teamsand bridgetechnical knowledge gaps.
- Stakeholder managementskills with the ability to represent the team at a senior level.
- Programme management skills, including budget handling, risk management, and opportunity identification.
