The team you’ll work with:

The Strategic Transformation & Change team are exclusively focused on enabling transformational change in HSBC Innovation Banking. The team is guided by our strategic ambitions and deliver their programmes through an agile way of working. They’re passionate about and focussed on bringing all the strategies owned by each EXCO member together into one overarching strategy for HSBC Innovation Banking organisation to address all aspects of the evolution of the business.

 

The value you’ll add:

As The Head of Digital Change and Delivery for HSBC Innovation Banking, you’ll drive the Digital Change strategy, and Digital Change roadmap through effective leadership and cross functional collaboration. As a key member of the Chief Transformation Officer’s leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high quality and sustainable solutions, whilst simultaneously ensuring rapid value delivery across the organisation.  

 

What you can expect to be doing:

Operating in this highly visible and strategic role, you’ll have accountability across the overarching Digital workstream, and all applicable Sub Value Streams. In this role you’ll be responsible for enabling the effective and efficient transformation towards the Digital agenda for the Innovation Banking organisation.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

Leading and mentoring a large team; successfully cultivating a culture of inclusion, high performance, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Securing investment across product delivery, digital ways of working, data and technology, to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, security, and the cost profile of digital change for HSBC Innovation Banking.

 

Managing budgets and ensuring effective cost & risk management associated with Digital Change. This includes ensuring timely and relevant portfolio delivery information is provided in line with portfolio governance and reporting requirements.

Designing and executing the Innovation Bank Data Strategy, leveraging Artificial Intelligence where applicable.

 

Working with senior stakeholders within HSBC Innovation Banking Marketing and Product to leverage HSBC Group digital platforms and services to deliver enhanced propositions, client value and improved client experience at pace whilst adhering to industry, Group and local risk and regulatory requirements.

 

Building and maintaining strategic alliances with senior management across HSBC, as well as forming external relationships with key partners and customers to facilitate the delivery of the digital change agenda.

Adhering to all of HSBC control standards and implement relevant policies, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators.

 

Qualifications

Current or recent previous experience of working within a complex omni channel, matrix organisation and strong understanding of Banking Technology landscape and digital solutions & capabilities

 

Experience of working with clients in the innovation economy, or clear evident links with the innovation ecosystem and emerging technologies, such as AI would be beneficial

 

Proven experience of leading high performing, large teams in a hybrid working environment, including managing performance and strategic delivery at the senior leadership level.

 

Experience of, and passion for delivering global transformation of cross Commercial Banking product channels, digital enablement, customer and colleague experience.

 

Excellent understanding and application of digital solutions and supporting innovative technologies, with demonstrable insight into how they transform customer journeys and experience.

 

Strong and effective communicator, with an ability to influence a broad range of stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. Creative thinker with prior experience in product delivery management and the ability to lead and create a digitally enabled strategic vision.
