Our client is seeking aHead of Cloud Data Architectureto lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge data solutions across multiple cloud platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to drive data strategy, enhance data management, and ensure seamless integration of cloud technologies within an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Data Architecture Strategy:Design and implement scalable, secure cloud data solutions usingAzure Data Lake,Azure SQL Database, andAzure Synapse Analytics.
• Develop Data Models & Pipelines:Build data models to meet project requirements and implement them usingAzure Data Factoryand other ETL tools.
• Data Governance & Security:Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance withindustry standards, including encryption, access control, and protection mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders:Work closely withDigital Data & Technology (DDaT)leadership and other business units to deliver effective data solutions.
• Optimise Data Solutions:Fine-tune data structures, queries, and indexes to improve data storage, retrieval, and processing across cloud platforms.
• Innovative Cloud Adoption:Guide the adoption of advanced cloud data services, staying ahead of industry trends to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Cloud Data Expertise:Proven experience in designing and implementing data solutions usingAzureandAWSplatforms.
• Data Governance:In-depth understanding ofdata governance, security best practices, and regulatory compliance in cloud environments.
• ETL & Data Pipelines:Expertise indata modelling, data warehousing, and building effective ETL pipelines.
• Leadership & Collaboration:Strong leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• Communication Skills:Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Project Management:Experience in managing large IT projects, particularly involving cloud technologies.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Azure/AWS Certifications:Certified inAzure Data Engineer AssociateorAWS Data Engineer Associate.
• Machine Learning & Analytics:Experience with machine learning and analytics services inAzureorAWS.
• Risk Management:Familiarity with risk processes andthreat modellingin cloud environments.
