This role requires an accomplishedLead Data Architectto join a global Investment Management Technologies team. This pivotal role will shape and drive strategic data architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and pioneering innovation in investment data infrastructure. As you push forward withmodern data architecture patterns, you will need to strike a careful balance between innovation and practicality. You will be responsible for delivering data solutions that span multiple investment strategies, including equities, fixed income, private assets, multi-asset solutions, and ESG investments.


Lead the development and execution of data architectures that support various investment strategies, covering areas like equity trading, portfolio management, fixed income analytics, private equity, real estate, multi-asset integration, and ESG compliance. This role requires an architect who can deliver scalable, secure, and innovative data frameworks across a wide spectrum of investment activities.


Bridging Business and Technology:

  • In this role, you’ll act as a vital bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams. Ensure data architecture aligns with both operational goals and strategic business initiatives.

  • Strategic Leadership:Define and execute the data architecture roadmap, driving innovation and best practices.
  • Platform Architecture:️ Oversee the architecture of critical data platforms such as Finbourne LUSID, Snowflake, and Hadoop.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with C-suite executives and product owners to align data solutions with business objectives.
  • Team Leadership:Mentor and lead a team of Senior Data Architects, fostering innovation and collaboration. Emphasize effective stakeholder management—knowing when to pick battles and how to manage relationships.
  • Global Influence:Engage with stakeholders across different geographies, including clients in India and China, building trust and influencing decision-making within a complex organizational structure.
  • Compliance & Governance:✅ Ensure data architecture solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
  • Project Oversight:️ Lead the delivery of complex, large-scale data projects across the organization.



What You’ll Bring:



  • Industry Expertise:Extensive experience in data architecture within the asset management or financial services sectors, particularly investment management.
  • Technical Proficiency:Strong expertise in Finbourne LUSID, Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms. You will also work closely with the architecture team to balance high-level decision-making with localized implementations.
  • Financial Products Knowledge:Deep understanding of data architecture for equities, fixed income, private assets, multi-asset solutions, and ESG investments.
  • Leadership:Proven leadership ability to manage and mentor teams, driving high performance and innovation.
  • Strategic Vision:Ability to develop and implement strategic roadmaps that enhance data capabilities, reduce inefficiencies, and support business growth.
