They are now hiring aHead of AIto help them advance the next generation of Visual AI, achieving production-level performance for mobile and edge environments at scale.


Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the roadmap for applied computer vision models, from synthetic training pipelines to real-time inference, optimised for diverse retail and CPG use cases.
  • Oversee development across detection and recognition tasks, ensuring low-latency, high-accuracy performance under varied shelf conditions.
  • Expand and refine our synthetic data generation strategies, enhancing generalisation through domain adaptation and robust pre-training.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Infrastructure, and Customer teams to ensure seamless field deployment.
  • Grow and mentor a team focused on scalable architectures and automation.
  • Drive the design of a highly generalisable large vision model optimised for dynamic retail environments.


Ideal Profile

  • Proven experience shipping ML models into production, preferably on mobile or edge platforms.
  • Hands-on background with synthetic data generation and large vision models (or strong interest in these areas).
  • Strong bias for practical, impact-driven development over purely academic results.
  • Ability to break down ambitious goals into executable technical strategies, leading teams with a focus on speed, collaboration, and reliability.


Nice-to-have Experience

  • Leading high-performing engineering teams.
  • Background in CPG, retail technology, or real-world applied computer vision.
