What you’ll be doing?

  • Set the overall AI strategy and direction, aligning innovation with business goals and industry advancements.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders to identify and scope AI solution opportunities.
  • Lead the design, development, prioritisation, and execution of AI initiatives, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
  • Oversee data analysis, preprocessing, and feature engineering for robust model development.
  • Champion AI projects from concept to production, including integration, monitoring, and performance evaluation.
  • Manage complex matrix stakeholder relationships, including proven success in engaging C-suite leadership.
  • Deliver both strategic and transformative AI initiatives across regional and global enterprise settings.
  • Ensure AI solutions meet regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Mentor and support AI solution teams, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Stay ahead of AI trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to Zurich.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting the value and impact of AI.

What we’re looking for?

  • Proven experience in leading AI solution development and implementation within a complex, highly regulated business environment.
  • Track record of delivering strategic and transformative AI initiatives in regional and global enterprises.
  • Experience working with C-suite leaders and navigating complex matrix stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, data science, and solution delivery lifecycle.
  • Ability to set strategic direction, define standards, and drive adoption of best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
  • Proactive approach to personal development and performance improvement, demonstrating Zurich’s corporate values.
  • Passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in financial services or insurance domains is preferred, but significant experience in other regulated domains will also be considered.
  • Experience in managing change, influencing stakeholders, and building high-performing teams.
