Graduate Apprentice - Data Science - Fixed term Until 29/06/

Salary : £26, - £28,
Hours: 36 per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Strategy, Commissioning and Service Improvement Service as a Graduate Apprentice - Data Science.

The successful applicant will support the delivery of a data driven service to improve performance and achieve best value by collecting, analysing and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights.

We are looking for someone who understands the importance of data and the insights this can provide to allow a complex service area to improve. This will include analysing complex datasets across a variety of systems and services. Using various tools and techniques, including statistical methods and data visualisations to produce meaningful data, insight reports and dashboards. You will be given an opportunity to gain academic knowledge through study and on site work experience within a practical environment in a busy Council service.

You will study towards a BSc (Hons) Data Science, and you will be fully supported by a dedicated workplace mentor to ensure you gain the right mix of academic and on-site skills and experience to successfully complete your apprenticeship. You will also develop management, business and technical skills and will assist the Housing and Homelessness Service to deliver ambitious programmes of improvement to our council homes.

Qualifications Required:

Year 1

* SQA Highers at BBBB including Mathematics, plus Computing or similar
* A-Levels at BBC including Mathematics, plus Computing or similar
* Int Baccalaureate 28 points.
* SQA HNC in a computing/engineering discipline(or a relevant Modern Apprenticship) with Engineering Mathematics 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
* A combination of qualifications totalling 96 SCQF credits at level 6, or Minimum UCAS points.

Year 2

* SQA Advanced Highers at BBB including Mathematics, plus Computing or similar and excellent SQA Highers or Scottish Baccalaurate.
* A-Levels at ABB including Mathematics, plus Computing or similar
* SQA HND in a computing/engineering discipline (or a Modern Apprenticeship) with Engineering Mathematics 1,2 & 3 (or equivalent)
* A combination of qualifications totalling 96 SCQF credits at level 7.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
