Job Description

Reporting to our Finance Systems Manager, you will be the SME for Process Improvements, Automations and Finance Systems continuity, whilst being the first escalation point for BAU incidents where limitations arise within the Finance Systems Administration remit. You will be the owner of the Power Platforms suite ensuring all Power Automate flows are maintained and documented as well as critically monitoring the latter for any systems updates made by Microsoft directly, so to ensure business continuity and data security throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As part of a small team, you’ll be responsible for supporting both our UK and international entities proposing and implementing process improvements and change control across D365 F&O functionality.
  • Maintaining our ERP (D365) system supporting its continuing build and integration and supporting Finance teams in understanding the challenges they face and solving them.
  • Working closely with the data, security, privacy and infrastructure teams, to ensure systems continuity, review processes and possible enhancements, and aiding collaboration cross function for project work.
  • Support and coordinate the delivery and testing of system updates.
  • Work autonomously towards established objectives whilst also contributing to long term planning to meet evolving needs of users or the company.
  • An innovative “thinking outside the box” attitude towards process improvement, including the use of automations and AI/Machine Learning technologies.


Qualifications

  • Experience with a Microsoft Dynamics ERP essential
  • Strong knowledge of the Financial Reporter application and its management, experienced in PowerBi user configuration and incident management.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft infrastructure and data entities in order to support our PoweBi connectivity to our ERP.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of Power Automate and Azure.
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio, SQL scripts, virtual environments as well as RDP standards knowledge, and the purpose of Build, Dev and Sandbox machines.
  • Flexibility to work out of hours and weekends when required due to a platform update or maintenance to systems which cannot be carried out during business hours. (You get this time back)
  • Ownership of our ERP’s data copy and creation of BACPAC file formats for external Audit.
  • Ability of independently perform a system maintenance operation on our PRODUCTION/LIVE D365 environment ensuring no downtime is experienced to end users during working hours.
  • Proactive ownership and maintenance of invoices relevant to finance systems licensing spend.
  • Organise and deliver training of new enhanced features/new processes/automations delivered and of any new systems acquired within the Finance Systems team.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.

‘Nice to have’ experience

  • Demonstrable Dynamics Finance and Operations specific platform configuration experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes.
  • Good knowledge of the evergreen Microsoft approach for platform updates
  • Ability to stop updates where necessary and re-deploy when required.
  • Demonstrable experience with Expense and Time sheeting systems such as Dovico and Concur.
  • Demonstrable experience with invoice scanning software, such as V1.
