F1 Powertrain Test Technician– Northamptonshire – Motorsport F1


This long contract is an amazing opportunity to work on high performance F1 engines. The person that secures this position will be crucial to the success of this dynamic company on its F1 projects.


This Powertrain Test Technician role will be working as a Contractor initially until 26.12.25, but will be extended as this role is ongoing.


The required shifts on this role are Monday to Friday. There will be early and late shifts which will rotate every 2 weeks. The late shift does carry a shift premium/uplift.


The early shift is 6am-3pm and the late shift is 2pm-11pm.


What you will do

  • Run performance tests
  • Attend to any stoppages, restart if possible and log issues
  • Provide data to engineers for analysis

What you will need:

  • Previous engine test experience on either internal combustion or electric powertrain systems on dynos
  • Stable career history
  • Willingness to work on shifts and independently for extended periods
