Job Title: ESG and Sustainability Research Analyst

We are currently looking for a ESG and Sustainability Research Analysts to join Royal London Asset Management in our Responsible Investment Team. You will provide support with integrating ESG issues into investment decision-making, undertaking proprietary company ESG (Industry based) Research & engagement projects, conducting screening and ESG & Outcomes/Impact analysis for the RLAM Funds.
About the role
- To contribute to the RLAM strategy of above average performance as a Responsible investor.
- To provide subject matter expertise on integrating specialized industry specific ESG issues into investment decision-making.
- To support Front Office teams in implementing ESG integration, ESG Research, Biodiversity analysis, analysis & engagement and Outcome/Impact analysis and reporting (all defines as “ESG Research”).
- Contribute to the investment performance of RLAM funds through providing high quality, in-depth ESG research in collaboration with fund managers.
- Contribute to new business (or retain existing business) across RLAM.
About you
- Strong passion for sustainability & ESG issues and the importance of Sustainable Finance to better functioning economy society and the environment.
- Ability to work in a small team with minimal structure, lots of competing priorities, and remote working (up to 50% hybrid).
- SQL at intermediate level is highly desirable and knowledge and interest in Phyton and other Data Science skills are desirable.
- Financial analysis and knowledge of investment processes and capital markets (achievement of CFA Level 1 or equivalent skills and experience is an advantage).
