Engineering Lead - Data

£120,000 + 30% bonus

50/50 hybrid model in Central London

We are working exclusively with a global asset management company who have a long, successful history and are looking to take on an Engineering Lead within their Marketing Technology team to lead the data and software engineering function across their data space. You would come in and be a vital part of this by Coaching, mentoring and leading data teams to deliver successful data products that provide value to the wider business. This isn't a hands on position but you must be comfortable with getting stuck in should the need arise to upskill and showcase best practices.

What they are looking for! / What you will be doing

• Lead the data and software engineering practices across the data space within the Client Data team
• Work across BI, Data science, Master Data and AI to be able to deliver successful data products which provide value back to the business.
• Coaching and mentoring all members of the team to ensure constant improvement,
• Develop and enhance templates and toolsets to ingest, model and expose data products.
• Become the central person for the engineering practice as well set the direction for data technology platform.

What you need:

• In depth experience of engineering solutions with data platform such as Synapse,snowflake, andADF.(Experience of Snowflake is a Must!!)
• Experience withPythonandSQLprogramming
• Comfortable picking up new tools and platforms
• UnderstandCI/CDand Continuous Delivery principles
• A natural system-level thinker who works with developers and Solution Architects alike to ensure design and technology choices are appropriate.
• Deep Interest in data models and data model designs.
