What you will be doing at Evalueserve


Important responsibilities in this role will include:

As a Due Diligence Researcher, you will conduct due diligence investigations utilising an array of public information, databases, and sources. You will be based at the client’s site in Canary Wharf and be part of the in-house Due Diligence team. You will work with a diverse and international team.


You will be required to work closely with our client, a top-tier bank, and assist them at the first stages of their screening process. This would involve comprehensive and discreet due diligence investigations for the purpose of identifying potentially unsuitable business partners, clients and suppliers of our customer that may present criminal, probity and reputational risk issues.


Primary Responsibilities

- Identifying subjects of research according to the KYC standards of the client

- Conduct Adverse Media Screening and Database checks using proprietary databases and aggregators

- Assess and analyse research results applying background knowledge and experience

- Conduct Research in English and one of the following languages: Spanish & Italian

- Manage workflow, including during busy periods

- Handle material non-public information (MNPI) and personal identifying information (PII) in accordance with client’s requirements and the law

- Work within a global team and communicate effectively with team members as well as the client

- When necessary, engage with external vendors to conduct higher level of due diligence.

Skills we’re looking for:

Skills Required

- Degree educated an advantage.

- High level of Spanish and a Italian (be able to conduct research, read complex text and transcribe into English)

- High level writing, analytical and research skills with attention to detail

- Ability to interpret and simplify complex information

- Organisational and Time Management Skills

- Good communication skills

- Team Player, must want to work with others

- An interest in learning new skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Skills preferred:

- Experience working in an Investment Banking Environment is advantageous

- Knowledge of potential financial crime and laws

- ACAMS or ICA certification is advantageous
