The shift pattern for this position is5 days over 7 including weekends and public holidays.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamicregistered nurse whois looking to progress their career into education to support the delivery of education and training for our community nursing workforce

You should have a PgD in Advancing District Nursing Practice and significant experience in this field to join our team as a Clinical Practice Development Nurse.

You will manage a case load 3 days per week and work as Clinical Practice Development Nurse 2 days per week.

You role will involve:

  • Leading a team of nurses
  • Working in collaboration with other members of staff to support their development by providing evidence based care.
  • Providing extensive clinical advice and support to enhance the knowledge base and practical skills of nurses, healthcare assistants and nursing associates.

You will act as a role model for delivering high quality care through strong education leadership, evidence-based training and education, and effective coaching and assessment in clinical practice.

You will be an expert practitioner and change agent within the District Nursing team promoting lifelong learning.

The shift pattern is5 days over a seven-day service which will include Public holidays, Weekends.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
