We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Management Engineer to join our team as a Design Assurance Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design management procedures for our construction contracts from contract award until project completion. This role requires strong leadership, coordination, and compliance skills to ensure effective and compliant design processes.

Our services include acquisition, design, construction, rigging, first-line maintenance, managed services, capital project delivery, complete network outsourcing, smart metering, and satellite solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Programme Management:Oversee the production, maintenance, and implementation of a design programme.
  • Design Approval:Approve design intent documents and technical deviation requests.
  • Meetings and Reviews:Chair design review meetings and attend hazard review meetings.
  • Hazard Mitigation:Ensure pre-construction hazard information is considered and mitigated.
  • Coordination:Coordinate interfacing packages and work with other teams.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Design Compliance:Complete relevant sections of design intent documents and submit design packages for compliance audits.
  • Change Management:Manage design changes in accordance with the design change management process.
  • Technical Compliance:Ensure proposed equipment is suitable and compliant with technical specifications.
  • Health and Safety:Plan, manage, and monitor design works, ensuring health and safety aspects are coordinated.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in design management within the construction or energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of technical and procedural requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage design changes and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Chartered membership of an appropriate professional body is preferred.
