As part of our expansion, we are looking for a Data Scientist. The position will be based at Birmingham, with travel to Bretby Business Park (Burton) and London.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate AI/ML technologies aligned with the company's needs
  • Contribute to the implementation of AI solutions across our IT systems, business applications, and data management processes
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our development and reporting capabilities for clients
  • Identify best practices and provide recommendations for integrating AI to optimize services and improve the customer experience


Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical background in Data Science complemented by excellent analytical abilities. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Proven expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and data analytics techniques like regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages:  Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn)
  • Experience with large language models (GPT, Claude 3), multi agent system and prompt engineering is a plus
  • Experience with databases (SQL)
  • Knowledge of big data tools is a plus (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and model-building skills
  • Knowledge of the construction/infrastructure sector is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
